Family Creativity: Crafting Workshops with Zinfinity

September 10, 2021

Building on a long-standing relationship with Bountagu, Zoe (Zinfinity) ran several crafting workshop sessions with children and their families.

These are usually great events, fabulously fun and full of gorgeous creativity, and chatter. They usually end with dozens of local children and adults going home with smiling faces and clothes covered in glitter! Some previous themes have included “Spooktacular” (decorating Halloween bats and spooky houses), “Mothers Day”, “Spring into Spring”. We support these financially either through Bountagu’s CYP (Children + Young people) group or the Little Ideas Fund, and sometimes leverage relationships to get reduced venue rates.

Creativity During Lockdown: supported by The Little Ideas Fund

Bountagu’s Little Ideas Fund provides awards of up to £250 for projects that help improve the lives of local residents. During the Covid Lockdown in 2020, we supported a project to encourage creativity at home.

‘I teach fabulous workshops for all ages and abilities which I absolutely love but since Covid hit, I couldn’t do it anymore. I still wanted people to be able to express themselves, get their juices flowing and have loads of creativity.

So what to do? I applied to the Little Ideas Fund to make craft boxes to post out to families and they said yes! I had a wonderful time making gorgeous creative boxes and posting them out so that people could be creative in their own time, in their own home and have loads of fun. Thank you, Little Ideas Fund!

Our hope is to plant the raised beds soon, to reflect the original intention of this garden; to offer an image of the beautiful diversity of creation and provide a peaceful place to remember our loved ones.’ Zoe (Local Creative, owner of Zinfinity)
