Volunteer Q&A – Bryan

The Team

As a #BigLocal project, Bountagu is planned, directed and delivered by volunteers, all of whom are passionate about making a difference to our community.

Meet Bryan. Until recently, he was a member of the Bountagu Partnership Board; a voluntary position he has held since the very beginning of the project in 2012.

We love Bryan’s “let’s do it” attitude, his excellent listening skills and of course, his commitment to the project.

What do you enjoy most about volunteering?

It feels good. Because I live in Bountagu and it’s personal for that reason. It’s nice to DO something rather than complain, which is important.

What have you learnt from volunteering, that’s different to paid work?

It’s not as straightforward as it seems…It takes resources; your time, and the project’s money. For that reason, volunteering is more complex than you might think.

Would you recommend volunteering to others and if so, why?

I would recommend it to everybody! Nobody can do everything all the time by themselves, at some point we all need help. Volunteering provides the opportunity to collectively help each other.

Maybe you have the passion, energy and interest to join a subgroup project team or our Partnership Board? Get involved! info@bountagu.com | 020 8807 5827 (Mon-Thu)
